Alongside many short-term projects Matthew has a long-time association with the following organisations.
The Saxon Wind Philharmonic is the only professional cultural wind orchestra in Germany. Founded in 1950 as the Radio Wind Orchestra Leipzig the ensemble now operates both as performing ensemble and an academy for young wind players and amateur musicians from around Germany and the world, who come to learn with the fine musicians of the Saxon Wind Philharmonic.
Das Werkstattorchester, Dresden
The Werstattorchester Dresden, e.V. is a young orchestra based in Dresden. The orchestra is associated with the education department of the Hochschule für Musik Dresden and provides students on the education programme with the opportunity to work with an orchestra for the first time and learn how to conduct ensembles, coached by Matthew Lynch.
Orchester Lausitzer Braunkohle
The Orchester Lausitzer Braunkohle is the Wind Orchestra associated with the LEAG Energy company in Saxony and Brandeburg. Founded in 1959 the orchestra continues to play a vital role in the organisation, performing at company events and representing the company at local festivals throughout the region. Matthew Lynch has been the musical director since 2013.
Szene12 e.V. Off-scene Opera
Szene12 performs operas in unusal places and in unusal ways, an alternative to the traditional German "Stadt-Theater" approach to opera. Founded in 2012 the company has performed a number of operas and music theatre projects in Dresden. Recent productions include Puccini's La Bohème, Haydn's Il Mondo della Luna, and Mozart's Così Fan Tutte.
